Three Stunning Golf Courses In Florida
Pembroke Lakes Golf Course in Pembroke Pines is a challenging course comprised of mostly Bermuda grass. With many water hazards, the difficulty of this course increases compared to others near it. Pembroke Lakes offers golfers five sets of tee boxes, and is a full, 18 hole course. Recently, Pembroke Lakes underwent a multi-million dollar renovation, reopening to the public as a new and improved version of itself. Although there are numerous houses surrounding this course and the holes are somewhat squeezed together, the course is beautifully taken care of, and the enclosed space combined with the water areas on the course really give golfers a challenge. Brooksville's contribution to the Florida golf scene is Pine Barrens Golf Course, located at the World Woods Golf Club. This facility is home to a practice park 20 acres in diameter, as well as a second course called Rolling Oaks. There is not much water on this course, but the holes are surrounded by large pine trees which increase the difficulty level of each hole. Four different tee boxes for each hole offer golfers the ability to make different decisions each round played on Pine Barrens, and this course also offers many risk-reward holes and varying elevation, which is unusual for Floridian courses. ChampionsGate in Orlando is another standout Florida golf course. Two courses sit on this site; the National, a course modeled after other Florida courses with many trees and protected fairways, and the International, a course with tall dunes, many wetland areas, deep bunkers. Practice facilities and a top of the line clubhouse add tot he charm of this location, and make it a must-golf for the serious player. The two widely different courses make it extremely difficult to choose just one, but each offers different challenges to golfers of all levels. Though located in Orlando, when playing these courses, golfers will feel like they are in the middle of nowhere- the quiet seclusion of Florida's natural wildlife areas add to the charm and challenge of this resort area. No matter what Floridian golf location is chosen, the experience is sure to be unforgettable - especially at Pine Barrens, ChampionsGate, or Pembroke Lakes.
