It’s unfortunate to say it, but not everyone is an honest person. Some people steal, lie, or cheat. It’s not always because they’re a bad person, sometimes they have motivations that make them feel as though they need to do something dishonest to keep life going. Regardless of their motivations it’s still wrong and it needs to be stopped.

Under the guise of being a hard worker, they may just want a few more dollars, and as noble as that sounds, when you’re running a business, you can’t afford to keep paying out extra money, even if they are working for it.
How do you stop this though, and how to do it without looking like someone mean. One strategy would be to use time and attendance software. The benefits of having time card software are many, as you can use the digital information to keep track of things far easier than if you had used traditional time sheets that you fill out by hand.

However one function that will really help you, is that the program will make it so you can’t clock in prior to your scheduled time without manager approval, and if a person clocks out too late, they will also need manager approval.
