Time Management Planner
Whenever a person is looking at starting their own business, money and time are two areas that can make the decision a tough choice. On the one hand, leaving the current job is more than a leap of faith in their abilities and the viability of their business plan it is also a high gamble on the finances of their family. Unless there is already a waiting list for their product or services, it can take some time before the income from the new venture is enough to meet all of their business and personal expenses. Very few people the importance of having time to spend with their families than those who run their own home-based business. Being a business owner requires a commitment of time not seen in any other type of occupation; even chief executive officers at major corporations seem to have more play time than owners of many small businesses. Making time for themselves and for their families is one of the issues faced by many business owners, especially those who have their office in the house. Starting the business on a part-time schedule is going to be a two-edged sword in that the owner will be putting in extra hours working in the odd hours. However, if they dedicate the income to the business and continue meeting personal expenses from their day job, they will be able to eventually make the switch to working in their business on a full-time basis, allowing it to grow to meet their financial needs. Possibly the best thing you can do to better manage your time is to establish a minimum of 10 minutes every morning to review what you have to do that day and reprioritize any items that did not get done from yesterday's list. This daily planning session can be the first thing you do when you get to your office or done with your first cup of coffee. The bottom line is you need to get into the habit to review your daily plans and then stick to the plan throughout the day. Essentially making money is the primary reason you have a home business, but supporting the family should not become more of an obsession than spending time with them.
