Time Management Technique – How To Handle Your Life When You Have So Many Things To Do

Whether in running your own business, working for someone else, or handling your personal life, you will often find yourself very busy.

You will even procrastinate while you still have many things to do in your mind.

If that’s what you do, then you should use the effective time management techniques.

The first thing you do to get things done and accomplish more is to create a list.

You need to write down all the tasks you have to complete for the whole day. Just imagine if you were Santa Clause that had to distribute gifts in 24 hours. What would you do without a list?

Now after you’ve created your list, what would you do then?

You should not forget about your list so you can complete all of your tasks instead of procrastinating or doing something else.

Try to keep your list in front of you, or bring it anywhere you can. You can put it on your desk, your wall, your bathroom mirror, just about anywhere you can easily notice.

Then, you should also seize the moment and every opportunity you encounter. Try to take advantage of your time wherever and whenever possible.

For example, if you travel a lot, you can shop at the airport if you have time. You don’t need to wait for later.

You should also always keep yourself being organized early. It means that you should organize everything before everyone else gets busy and hence the environment is not comfortable. In other words, take advantage your quiet time.

You can also be organized early during the holidays, when offices are not as crowded as usual. If you can, try to complete your tasks during these quiet times or prioritize the thing that is going to give you the largest payback.

However, don’t forget to chill out and relax. If it’s holiday, you should take advantage of it to make you feel fresher.

If you still have a problem concerning time management or procrastination that you’re confused of, try Einstein’s solution: imagine you only have one hour to save the world. Then, spend 55 minutes defining what the problem is, and spend the rest 5 minutes to solve it.
