Time To Go Shopping?
So many of you are SO busy that you just keep on that treadmill, you keep pushing that hamster wheel around and around, but where is it all actually getting you? (Besides getting you to a place of exhaustion, that is - with the scenery exactly the same). The difference between business and busyness is simply Y. Why? Statistics show that we spend, on average, 20 minutes per week writing out our shopping lists. So we'll dedicate 20 minutes to thinking about what needs replacing in our cupboards, yet to take 20 minutes out of our busy schedules to establish why we're doing what we're doing and why we're focusing on certain areas and not others can often seem a self-indulgent activity. However, 20 minutes spent each week establishing what's working for you and what could be better, equates to over 17 hours over the course of the year. 17 hours of thinking about nothing but yourself; your work; your purpose; where you're going...can you imagine how different life might be if you simply invested the same amount of time in you as you do in creating your shopping list? Your Task This Week Identify a 20-minute period this week where you can focus solely on yourself, with no interruptions. Guard/Protect/Respect this scheduled time. When the time comes, ask yourself these questions: How satisfied am I with what I've achieved this week? How much is it contributing to me feeling Fired Up? (Focused, Inspired, Resourceful, Energized, Determined, Unstoppable, Positive) If I continue what I'm doing and make no changes - how satisfied will I be in a month/3 months/6 months? What's the ONE thing I could do differently, that would enable me to feel more Fired Up? What are the actions I'm going to take immediately, to do that? Get curious on what you discover and most importantly, take that action!
