"timmy Time" Lands In The Us Along With Some Fun Toys

Timmy Time started as a spin off of the outstanding show created and animated by Aardman in Great Britain. This animation studio is best recognized for shows such as Wallace and Gromit, Creature Comforts and Shaun the Sheep. Timmy began as a character on Shaun the Sheep and now has his own series. This is the very first preschool show from Aardman telling stories with fantastic animation and no duologue, just animal sounds.

The stories and topics as Timmy enters preschool as the "Little Sheep with alot to learn" are well suited for young audiences. Now that the show is airing in the US on Playhouse Disney, a variety of fun toys are on sale for young enthusiasts of the show. Here are three of our favorites :

Plush Talking Timmy

Plush Talking Timmy is our first pick and a precious soft pal for young (and old!) fans of the show. Squeeze his wooly tummy and Timmy makes cute animal sounds. This moderately priced toy is rated for ages two and up but this toy would certainly be ok for a younger child with a parent supervising to help activate the sounds. Talking Timmy also makes the ideal interactive toy for bed time.

Night Night Timmy

Complete with his adorable Teddy Bear; just lay Night Night Timmy down, and he shuts his eyes and begins baaing and snoring fast asleep. Sit him up and he Baas and wakes up, completely ready for playtime. This stuffed toy is super soft and fantastic for sleepy time and kids who have a tough time napping. When your toddler goes to bed he can take Timmy along. Once your child sees Timmy with his eyes closed, snoring away, don't be surprised if your he decides to do the same! A fabulous toy for solving night time issues and a easy way to get preschoolers to settle down for the night.

Sing and Dance Timmy

Sing and Dance Timmy is a super fun replica of our best loved little lamb. Standing near 15" tall Timmy comes wearing baseball cap, sneakers and a trendy medallion. One squeeze of his hand and a few cute "baaas" later he's moving side to side while his arms move right on time. Sing and Dance Timmy stands up very solidly while your Toddler dances along to two songs, a catchy hip hop beat and a country banjo tune based on music from the show. His movement is super cute and he dances like a preschooler swaying energetically back and forth. Soon your child will be dancing along too!

Dancing Timmy creates an opportunity for your child to dance and move along while improving rhythm and motor skills. This is an outstanding toy for toddlers two and up and as with Taking Timmy, younger children with supervision from a grownup. He takes 4 AA batteries.
