Tips To Reduce Stress Levels
1)The first step towards reducing stress is by taking up regular exercises. In a corporate work culture, we often are glued to our computers for long hours. There is no physical activity involved. This strains our eyes and our back. To relieve this, you must engage in light exercises to relax your body and muscles. Make a sincere effort, take time out of your busy schedule and move one step forward to reduce stress. You can go for a walk in the morning after a refreshing cup of tea. Make this a regular habit to get the best results. 2)The next best way to relieve stress is meditation. If you are fatigued, tired and irritated, meditation is the answer to calm your mind. Meditation sounds difficult but actually is very simple. The simplest way is to practice deep breathing. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. It can be done when you are taking a break from your work station or at the comfort of your home. 3)When you are excessively stressed out, divert your mind from the stressful environment. Listen to good music or read a book. You can also take a walk alone to your nearest park. Sit on a bench and be there among green tress, plants and flowers. You will feel relieved and relaxed. Take off your shoes and walk on the soft, green grass. Connect yourself to nature. 4)When you return tired from work, take a shower, have your dinner and sleep soundly. 5)Be alone for sometime when you are stressed out. Do not think of the things that give you stress too much. Just relax. Leave all your anxieties when you retire to rest at night. 6)Maintain a diary to jot down your stress. This shall give you an outlet or a way to escape from the existing stress. 7) Having a chat with close friends is also helpful in reducing stress. Discuss about the latest movie or an interesting sport that you have recently enjoyed. 8)If stress becomes intolerable for you, it is best that you consult a therapist who shall give you professional advice to get rid of it.
