Being a website owner means more than just trying to fill your site with content and photos and creating the best looking design. You need to get traffic to it and do so quickly. Many people think that getting traffic to a website is very simple and all you have to do is put up a site and let a few people know about it. Just to let you know, not every website grows the way Facebook did, some websites are slow and tedious to get traffic to.

Not all promotional methods require you to do more than you already do, but most of them do. The best method to get traffic is to write great content for your site and get other websites to pick it up and use it as their own content. The reason why this works is because you will get a link back to your site and that link will get you traffic.

3 ways to increase traffic month after month

Guest blogging – The first thing I want to tell you about is guest blogging. The nice part about guest blogging is that you can get your link and articles on other bigger sites than your own and they will send you traffic month after month. Not to mention the link juice they will pass to your site.

Article marketing – The nice part about article marketing is that the articles will bring you traffic and they will pass more link juice as well. In my opinion I recommend writing at least 2 articles per day in order to increase traffic dramatically but the more the better.

SEO – The last way to increase your traffic month after month is to do proper SEO. The best thing to do is get your website ranked at the number one spot of Google and the other search engines for at least 2 different keywords and then start trying for 2 more keywords every month after that.

In my opinion I wouldn’t go for a keyword unless it gets at least 1500
searches per month on average. The reason for this is so that you can build your traffic slowly and steadily that way you aren’t overwhelmed with emails and comments.
