You can see the changes immediately by utilizing the math functions of Excel or Open Office. They give fast results. Not only can they give you your current position you can run what if scenarios also.

Where you are unsure about specific parts of the budget such as how much money you spend per week on food and other essential items. You will have to make an estimate initially. When you are able to take notes the next time you go to the shops and see precisely how much you spend, you can enter more exact figures.

Once you get your budget up and running, you will see where you are spending to much and make those choices necessary to reduce your expenses.There are many areas where you can save a considerable amount of money, because we don't really pay attention on how much we're spending.

The budget allows you to make changes now, to change the outcome in the future. You may have to completely change the types of items you are buying. That decision is yours to make.

Budgeting is your way to gain control over your finances once again. In fact it is the only way for you to gain control. It is a lot easier than you might expect and once you begin to use a budget you will wonder how you ever managed your finances in the past without having a budget.
