Top 10 Tips You Must Know Before Arriving At Campsite
1. Make a Checklist This is the simplest of camping tips you would ever get but one of the most important ones. There are numerous things which you must have handy when you are heading to a campsite making it virtually impossible to hold it all in your head. A checklist as and when you remember things will make it handy for you to remember everything and not realise you missed something really important at the campsite. 2. Trial Camping Trials are good because they make us acclimatized to what is ahead. Therefore doing a trial at your friend’s farmhouse or your own garden is not such a bad idea. 3. Protect Yourself Survival is one of the key themes at a campsite and hence when you pick your area, ensure you are well protected and have something to protect yourself as well. Stay away from marshy lands with dangerous insects, rivers which could swell or trees that could drop branches on your tent. 4. Protect your Area and Tent Don’t put up a fire too close to the tent. Ensure that the tent is well cleaned before you bring it to the campsite and if possible, stitch double layers especially on the edges. 5. Keep Spares for Utility Items Whether it is batteries, matches, torchlights, ropes, or pegs, it is always advisable to keep spares for the most important items which you cannot do without. 6. Cleaning the Area We all love camping, but a campsite wouldn’t be half as fun if it is not clean. So ensure the tasks are doled out and you clean the whole area, especially of dead leaves, twigs, branches, etc. It is risky as it is to head to a campsite, so you don’t want to leave a lot to chance. 7. Keep Things Handy During your UK holiday camping, you cannot open up everything every night. But make sure the important items like torch, match, slippers etc. are handy in a place where you can find them immediately. 8. Campsite Tools There are specific tools like Swiss knife and head torch that are very handy while camping because they are very useful and yet not real luggage. 9. Biodegradable Products Don’t leave a campsite dirtier if you cannot contribute to its beautification. Avoid using plastic and if you do, do not throw it everywhere. Consider biodegradable products. 10. Weather Depending on whether you are camping in summer, winter or rain, prepare accordingly with apparel, protective wear, blankets, etc. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com Want to find out more about Camping in and around the UK?
