Top Leadership Success Tips 2 Of 10

2) Successful Leaders are always fit and healthy

Successful Leaders have found it extremely important to stay fit and healthy so they can perform at their highest level of performance. Eating good foods and exercising on a daily basis will helps sharpen your thinking and help your body feel great. It doesn’t take as much time as you might think but it does take discipline. I recently had to revisit my daily diet and exercise routine. As a result I found it was time to make some important changes if I wanted to take care of myself and achieve peek performance. I haven’t arrived to my ultimate goal yet but I am on the way. I have notice my mind is sharp and I feel great. Here is a simple example of my routine. I recently got a Vita Mix 5200 as a gift. This is a blender that will blend anything and is available at places like Costco or online at the Vita Mix website. Every morning I blend a delicious fruit and spinach protein drink that I use for breakfast and lunch. As a result I have noticed I don’t need my usual 4 cups of coffee or a big breakfast and than later a large lunch. I also don’t feel as tired as I used to probably because my body isn’t working hard trying to digest all the food as well as the lack of caffeine in my body. To exercise I use my NordicTrack or work out watching Pro X 90 which is a workout program I use at home. When I follow through with this daily program I feel 100% better. My attitude and optimism about my day have improved as well. Another thing you can do to stay fit and healthy is to get plenty of sleep so you don’t wear your body out. Being a leader demands a lot on your mind and body so take care of yourself so when you’re “on” you really “ON”. No one wants to follow a slow sluggish leader.
