Women who are infertile commonly defined as the inability of getting pregnant and for the men it is, the inability to impregnate. So what can cause infertility in men? Most problems are related to the production of sperm. The male may be either be producing very few or no sperm at all. Another reason could be that the sperm is unable to reach the egg and fertilize it. The cause of this happening is usually a birth defect that the man has in sperm production. Stress, age, poor diet, overweight/underweight, smoking, STD's, and health problems can increase a woman's risk of having infertility. Age can be a major factor that influences female infertility. Age decreases the ability to bear children because the ovaries are unable to produce eggs. Age is associated with different health problems in both men and women. If you are able to conceive, the risk of birth defects and miscarriages can also be due to age. If you are unable to conceive, seek the advice of your doctor.
