Top Wrestlers In Juggalo Championship Wrestling
So it only made sense, as the fan subculture of juggalos grew around the group, that eventually it would boast its own juggalo wrestling promotion. Juggalo Championship Wrestling, or just JCW Wrestling for short, debuted in 1999 with a roster made up largely of rappers using pseudonyms. Over time, though, juggalo wrestling developed its own style, based in large part on the hardcore moves of promotions like ECW. These days, JCW Wrestling has attracted a number of top wrestlers from other organizations. Here are just a few of the top wrestlers currently performing for the promotion: Scott Hall: Hall was one of the top wrestlers for WWE (as "Razor Ramon") in the early '90s, and then WCW in the late '90s, before he began struggling with personal demons. With those past issues now cleaned up, Hall now serves as an executive consultant to JCW wrestling, helping convert other top wrestlers to the juggalo wrestling cause. Raven: Raven is a wrestling lifer, having performed as one of the top wrestlers for WCW, ECW, and NWA before taking on other roles in the industry. He first came to juggalo wrestling in 2008, and he's been performing on and off with JCW wrestling since then. U-Gene: Though he wasn't one of the top wrestlers for WWE, per se, U-Gene (then known as Eugene) was well known for his goofy -- even "slow" -- persona. He first appeared in juggalo wrestling in 1999, starring in the first JCW wrestling championship show. Corporal Robinson: Robinson is known on the indie circuit for a very hardcore style that quickly endeared him to fans of juggalo wrestling. He first wrestled for ICP in 1997, and starred in the first JCW Wrestling championship show in 1999. He once held the JCW heavyweight title. Mad Man Pondo: He's also a hardcore wrestler who's been performing with juggalo wrestling since the early days, starting in 1999. Barbed wire, thumbtacks, ladders -- anything is fair game in a Pondo match. Pondo's been the JCW Wrestling heavyweight champion twice. He's also been a juggalo wrestling tag team champion twice with Necro Butcher. Luckily for fans of JCW wrestling and pro wrestling in general, all of these top wrestlers will appear at the annual Gathering of the Juggalos festival this year from August 11 to 14. Though it's technically a music festival, juggalo wrestling -- and wrestling in general -- is a major part of the entertainment. Besides these five, other top wrestlers from JCW wrestling appearing at the gathering include 2 Tuff Tony, Tracy Smothers, Bull Pain, and Ring Rydas. Even more top wrestlers performing include Chyna, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, and Terry Funk. It's not too late to get tickets. Visit the Gathering website for full details.
