Trade Leads

Embassies should be an option to get more information about wholesalers and buyers. They are well connected within their community and possess a lot of valuable information for you. Unfortunately, the service level you receive will greatly depend from country to country.

Directories can give you all the company names by alphabetical order and by product category. You can get telephone numbers. Emails are harder to get as a lot of people have used these company emails to spam it users with useless information. The down point of these directories is that they are not always free. Actually they can be quite expensive. If you are lucky, you might be able to buy it online or else you will need to travel to get your hands on it.

Online B2B marketplaces is my favorite option as it is a more interactive way to find trade leads and business opportunities. These websites are simple to use, have their own search engines to find products and are available 24 hours a day allowing great flexibility for its users. New offers are added all the time allowing you to access the latest leads. You can also buy other complementary services on the site itself. Leading B2B marketplace include Tradekey.com, Mercatrade.com and Alibaba.com

Tradeshows is a great option to get trade leads as there is a concentration of buyers and sellers in one location. The good thing about these events is that you can meet your potential business partner face to face. You also can save on expenses as you just need to travel to one place.

You can see that finding trade leads and business opportunities can be quite simple by getting in touch with embassies, accessing directories, browsing b2b marketplace and attending tradehows.
