Training To Be A Pole Dancing Instructor

Many people do not realize the amount of work it takes to be a pole dancing instructor. It seems as if it would be a simple or easy task. To the average person, it looks as if they swing around and that there is no real skill involved. This is far from the truth. There is a great deal of work and training required in order to become a pole dance instructor. The class is like any other and you will need to train for hours before you are actually ready to teach what you know to others.

As part of this training you will need to learn lifts. You will need to be able to show people of all shapes and sizes how to lift themselves onto the pole. They will need to learn how to use their upper body to propel them up. You will need to show them how to maneuver around the pole and even tricks. This may seem very simple, but it requires a great deal of strength.

You will also need to be able to modify the moves that you are learning for those who are less physically fit. Many women take pole dancing classes in an effort to get in shape. If they are not in shape, you will need to show them how they can modify the moves you teach to get started. You want to make sure that you are encouraging so that they feel they will eventually be able to move more fluidly and gracefully.

In order to train you will want to look at schools that teach personal trainers. These schools cater to all of the latest fitness crazes and will undoubtedly have a pole dancing class. The length of the class will vary a great deal depending upon the school where you take the class and the instructor.

Keep in mind that once you are trained you can put your own spin on the class. You will be able to offer it at your dance studio or gym. In some cases instructors even offer private lessons or classes as a form of personal training for their students. The more classes you are able to teach and offer the more students you will have and the more money you stand to make. If you are committed, the course will be a fun one for you and that excitement will extend to your own students later.
