Transformers Movie 2 Leader Jetfire

Transformers Jetfire converts right into an SR-71 Blackbird spy jet, quite possibly the best alternate mode to date for the Leader class price point.
Jetfire offers a few electronic lights as well as sounds; in jet mode, pressing the button on his back triggers a "swooshing" sound, while in robot mode, a different button will be uncovered on his rear that triggers mechanical stomping sounds. Pushing the tab on Jetfire's chest sets off his moving Mech Alive gears and head, combined with Jetfire announcing: "Jetfire's mah name!". The European edition has got the clip abbreviated to "Jetfire". As opposed to former ROTF Leader Class toys, this isn't the edition offered in england. Compared with the movie, when the character talks along with actor Mark Ryan's typical Yorkshire accent, the product is positively Scottish.

As seen in the film, he could unite with Leader Class Optimus Prime to make Prime's powered-up mode, although at the expense of Optimus Prime's leg articulation. A few inaccuracies are present in the combination details: as an example, even though the instruction manuals say to position the cockpit halves behind Prime's shoulder blades, they actually should sit on top of it ( as seen to the left), and feature small grooves into which the small silver triangular prongs lock. Additionally, while Optimus' rear cab sections tend to be shown as being folded out just like rectangular wings in the instruction manuals, it seems like they are meant to sit flat up against the sides of the portion of Jetfire which connects to Prime's back. Jetfire features two tabs which sit straight over the panels when folded back which far better help the extra weight of Jetfire. The struts on which Jetfire's engines are mounted also pivot back to allow exactly enough space for the folded cab panels to fit.
