Travel Tips For People Going To Dublin
Here are my travel tips for Dublin: 1. Take plenty of euros! Dublin was an extremely expensive place to visit. As an example a computer game which would cost £40 in England is £48 in Dublin. To visit the Guinness factory cost 14 euros, a total waste of money in my opinion. A pint of beer was on average £4.25. Even London is not this expensive and London has far more to offer than Dublin. It may be a capital city however Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool have more history and places of interest to visit for a much more affordable rate. 2. Take the tour bus I made the error of walking around the city on the first day, it rather tired me out. On the second day I took the plunge and splashed out on the 15 euros fee for the tour bus. The driver was a superb tour guide and was extremely funny; this was certainly 15 euros well spent. 3. Beware of the taxi drivers I caught a taxi from the hotel to the city centre at a cost of 12 euros. The taxi back from the same place in the city centre was 20 euros! Before agreeing to go in a taxi, ensure that you now the price before hand. 4. Visit the prison and the Viking centre The prison and the Viking centre were superb and very interesting, they are both well worth a visit and were also quite cheap! 5. Do not give money to the beggars There are many beggars doing their trade in Dublin city centre. I personally would not give these people any of my money, there are plenty of jobs available such as in the restaurants and bars of Dublin etc. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com Steve Hill is a webmaster from Birmingham, he has interests in a number of websites including: stuttering information therapy for stuttering alternative therapies |
