Treat Mild Acne And Pimples With Home Remedies

Almost everyone in the world has had to deal with acne problems at some point or another. Consequently, a large market for acne treatment products has arisen. Most of them are over-the-counter drugs, but there are other alternatives.
Home remedies for acne are almost as numerous as OTC drugs. Some are effective and others are just myths. In this article, however, we will first focus on the primary causes of acne and then on the more effective natural treatments for acne.
What produces acne?
Essentially, acne is a skin condition that is characterized by the clogging of skin pores. When the pores clog, they produce inflamed and non-inflamed lesions. What is it that leads to the clogging?
The essential answer is hereditary. If your parents had acne, you probably will, too. Stress, sun exposure, seasonal changes, climate and other daily factors can aggravate existing acne inflammation. Tests have shown that working women are the most prone to acne breakouts because they lead high stress lives and tend to use more pore-clogging makeup.
Natural Acne Treatments
There is a wide variety of over-the-counter drugs available for acne problems. However, there is something to be said for natural acne skin care. Here are a few alternatives.
Grated Cucumber: Remedy 1
One of the most effective natural products for the treatment of acne is cucumber. For this remedy, apply grated cucumber over your face, eyes and neck for about 20 minutes. It will reduce swelling and, if used on a regular basis, it will get rid of blackheads and clogged pores.
Aspirin Paste: Remedy 2
A simple and inexpensive pimple treatment is aspirin. Make a paste by adding one or two drops of water on an aspirin tablet and apply it directly to the lesion. Within a few hours, the pimple will dry out.
Orange Peels: Remedy 3
Another inexpensive home remedy is orange peels. Pound the orange peel with a mortar and pestle and a little bit of water. Leave the pounded peels on the affected areas for about twenty minutes.
These natural home remedies work best on pimple and mild acne. Don't hesitate to consult a professional if you have a chronic case of acne. You should always treat chronic acne with the seriousness it deserves.
