A truck bed coating may be more than an option if you want your truck to keep looking good for a long time. You see most any kind of hauling causes scrapes and scratches on a truck bed. Maybe your truck is already damaged and it's time to do something about it. Left alone, bed damage is the place for rust and corrosion to get a start and that's a route to an early end to your good looking truck. Here are a couple of choices.
A Spray On Truck Bed Liner
A professional spray on liner may be the solution. A dealer sprays on a two part material that contains a rubbery texture. This is a tough paint coating often up to about 1/4 inch thick. You get a guarantee so that any damage to the bed liner is repaired, so you know the job will be done right. These liners don't just protect, they look good doing it too. The only real disadvantage to a professional bed liner for trucks is the cost. It's quite steep, but there is an alternative coating.
A Roll On Bed Liner
You can apply a liner yourself using truck bed paint. The coating you can apply is easy to do and looks almost just like a professional liner. It won't be as thick, nor as durable. But it certainly will improve the looks of an older truck and may be fine for the way you use your truck. Plus you can save hundreds of dollars compared to the cost of a professional liner. My two sons installed a liner using a bed liner kit in our old truck and it still looks good after a year of hard use.
A truck bed coating is a great way to protect your truck bed plus make it looked finished at the same time. Choose the premium professional version or do it yourself with truck bed paint. In either case your truck will look better and maybe even last longer.
