Two Factors When Choosing Chinese Figurines For Our Home Decoration

Many people like to decorate their homes with an oriental flavor and Chinese figurine is one of the most favorite decorations that bring a sense of Asian taste to our homes. Sometimes one may have a difficult time in finding a decoration that is elegant and unique for putting on our table top or on the shelves. There are Hallmark and Willow Tree, and their ceramic figurines are beautiful, yet these same figurines have been seen for all these years that they have become old and boring.

Why not try something new and refreshing? A Chinese figurine is a good choice to add a touch of class and taste to our home. While one can add just a few pieces of Chinese figurine to give his/her home a breeze of Asian taste, other Chinese figurine lovers may like to turn their home into a richly decorated display room with beautiful figurines, big and small of all types. Either way will draw attention and inspire conversation when friends come over for a visit.

Figurine Size Matters
When one has decided to buy a Chinese figurine for home decoration, the first thing one has to decide on is the size of the Chinese figurine needed. A Chinese figurine that is put next to a big vase on the table top is probably bigger than a figurine that we put on our desk in the office. And like other types of art, the size of the figurine most likely has no direct relationship with the price. The bigger the figurine definitely doesn’t mean the more expensive it is. There are some small Chinese figurines that cost hundreds of dollars, while some big ones cost less than ten. It all depends on the details and craftsmanship involved.

Figurine Subject - Historical Figures? Mythical Creatures? Peasants? Or Others?
There are many Chinese figurines available. There are Chinese figurines of historical figures (such as Kong Ming and Bruce Lee), Chinese mythical creatures (such as dragon and qilin), characters in Chinese folklores (such as the Eight Immortals), and Chinese figurines that show the daily lives of village peasants. It really comes to personal taste when choosing Chinese figurines. Once the size and budget are set, one can freely pick the figurine that stands out to us the most.
Shopping for Chinese figurines is not only fun, but also very educational as one will learn more about Chinese culture and history along the shipping process. It’s a fun experience, so take the time and enjoy the learning and shopping.
