Two Features About The Pentax Dslr That I Nearly Never Mention.

Two of the most crucial parts of the New Pentax K7 DSLR is it's incredible weather-proofing, and it's capacity for HD Video Capture. I have probably not mentioned much about either feature in earlier articles as I'm not really that much of a video photographer and I certainly do not do expeditions to the Arctic or anything like that, however maybe I neglected them because I pretty much use these functions. How inconsiderate of me, I apologise! Sorry I am so ordinary.

Anyway. Right here is my take.

The Pentax K7 just like the K20D, presents what can only be described as exceptional wind water and temperature-proofing, in contrast to the D90 which doesn't have any and the Canon 50D which has water proofing which is ineffective.

With the K7, even your cheaper equipment lenses such as your 18-55 standard range and 50-200 tele lens will definitely be correctly weather-sealed with Pentax's superior weather proofing system, this means that you would be able to even use it in close to arctic situations, as it will operate down at 14 degrees fahrenheit (-10C), compared to just 32F/0C with other supposedly “weather-sealed” cameras on the market.

Even cameras like Canon’s 1Ds and Nikon’s D3 are nowhere close to the K7 when it comes to this degree of functionality. This means in fact that it's a super digital camera in the extra extreme travel circumstances, when even the most rugged “professional” bodies can typically encounter excessive failure rates.
