Use The Right Tools

Take a look at any tree that may be on your property.

Your friend Joe down the block has a 50ft. tree on his property that the city says needs to be cut down because its unstable.

Joe doesn't want to call the tree service so he has decided to cut the tree down himself.

First he decides which branches to cut off first, then he builds a branch trimmer and begins trimming..

About half way through he has to stop and repair the trimmer he built and that takes about an hour. And while he is trimming the trimmer he put together quits on him five times.

As he is beginning the next phase of the project his next door neighbor, who is a professional tree trimmer stops by and offers his assistance.

He decides he doesn't need his friends help because he did such a good job with the first part.

It was starting to cool off as the sun went down so he decided to start again in the morning.

The next day Joe looks at the tree and decides the top half of the trunk needs to come down first..

Joe doesn't have a ladder that tall so he elects to just throw a rope over the tree as far up as he can throw standing on his roof.

He stands the ladder on the roof of his truck and climbs up. He then saws the tree trunk in half and runs back over on the roof and pulls the rope.

The tree turns as he pulls and falls on the bed of his truck. It goes through the bed of the truck and completely destroys the truck's drive shaft.

I’m sure by now your beginning to get the moral of the story.

If Joe wanted to finish the job of taking down his tree he should have used the correct tools.

While Joe turned down assistance from a professional, he decided to cut corners.

This would have saved him from having to replace his now demolished truck.

What does this have to do with Network Marketing, everything.

Sometimes very talented, good caring people with a lot of years in a business of their own come into the Multi-Level Marketing business.

Having had success previously, they will take what they know and try to do things in this industry their own way.

Before too long they will realize their skills don't work the same in this industry.

Meaning, the principals for success you have learned throughout your life can be helpful to the Network Marketing opportunity.

But, Network Marketing is a lot like my tree trimming story above. It has its own tools, methods and ways of thinking that are unique to the industry.

Just like my story, you will save yourself a lot of time, energy and money.

There are dozens of experts in your company, very willing and able to share the tools, expertise, and knowledge to get you down the road further and faster than doing it on your own.

Use the tools!
