Use The Dictionary To Find The Right Words

Whenever I’m writing an article or a press release, I often get stuck trying to find the exact words I want to use. One of the resources I find extremely helpful in these situations is Dictionary.com.

Sometimes the site is useful for finding the meaning of a word, but I find myself using it more often for finding synonyms. Once, for some song lyrics I was writing, I even used it to locate words that rhymed.

Across the top of the site window are some other helpful tabs:

- Thesaurus
- Reference
- Translate
- Web

These tabs take the word you originally type in, and give you everything you would ever want to know about that word. It’s amazing.

The first thing you see when you access the site is a large search box at the top of the page. Simply type in the word that you need the meaning for, and let the site’s search engine do the rest of the work for you. What could be easier when you’re looking for the right words?
