Using Recipes For Juicing To Benefit Your Health
When you're trying to lose weight, cranberry juice is a good place to start. Cranberry juice is not only high in antioxidants as well as potassium and magnesium, but it also is a rich source of organic acids. Organic acids help to break up fat deposits in the body. This helps to raise the high density lipoproteins (HDL) or good cholesterol while lowering the low density lipoproteins (LDL) or bad cholesterol. Study results have even shown it to be effective in helping to reduce cellulite deposits. When cholesterol is reduced, the chances of plaque forming in the blood vessels is also reduced, preventing many common cardiovascular problems. Cranberries are seasonal, so when they are available you can freeze them. When juicing them, combine them with apples or raspberries to cut the tart taste. Juicer detox recipes are not for everyone. If you have health problems, you should not try a detox. Basically you use a detox for about three days, drinking only juices to help flush out your system from accumulated toxins from fast foods, processed foods and even heavy metals. It's also important to remember to drink a lot of water with this diet for maximum benefit. A basic recipe starts with four carrots, two stalks of celery, and a small bunch of spinach, add a lemon for flavor and to help with the detox. Adding greens such as spinach, kale or collards will help eliminate heavy metals from the body as they bind to the metal ions. For a fruit detox juice try one pineapple. one large sweet potato and three oranges. Certain health conditions can definitely be helped by the intake of fruit juices. Kidney stones is one that has certainly received a lot of good press. Cranberry juice again gets the credit. It works by reducing the size of the kidney stones so that they can be more easily excreted from the body. The juice of black sweet cherries and to some extent the juice of the tart cherries as well has merit in relieving pain experienced from gout. The cherry juice will also relieve the swelling in the joints, such as the big toe which can be excruciating. Black cherry juice can just be enjoyed straight or combined with just about any fruit or vegetable to gain added nutrients. As with any new food or drink, don't overdo it, start with a few sips several hours apart if you have never had juices before to allow your body to adjust and avoid any digestive upsets. Then one to up to three glasses a day should be sufficient. Try to stay more with the vegetable juices to receive the most benefit, using the fruit juices to mask the taste of unpalatable vegetables.
