Using The Right Tires Is Always Necessary

It is not surprising these days if a tire company asks you to purchase two sets of tires instead of one. They aren’t just looking at sales, but have a decent reason to suggest buying spares. We should normally change to winter tires once the temperature drops below 7 degrees Celsius. Winter tires are made with better a better grip for using a vehicle smoothly in ice and snow. And trust me, they actually work!

I have tested them myself when I got the chance to test drive them on a track provided by Good Year. I was coming down a slope at a speed of 40kph with normal summer tires and around the corners the car tended to skid. When I tried the same thing with winter tires on, I actually noticed the difference. The tires took all the pressure and gripped well on to the road.

But we all know that winter tires cost more than the summer ones, and many of you may think it would be advisable to put two winter and two summer tires. Well, I already tried it out and it was the worst combination ever! The summer tires tend to skid and the winter tires try to stop, but end up skidding as well.

Now coming back to business, can we actually afford two sets of tires? Another problem that many of us have is where to store the tires when not in use. For the second problem there is a solution. Tire companies are planning to start a tire bank service to assist with the storage issue most people face.

Now, when it comes to the problem of finance, an investment made for the sake of extra safety is always worth the money you spend. Using summer tires in winter can be really hazardous and none of us want that happening. So it’s time to think about using the right tires during the right season!
