To understand it better, these connectors carry video signals coming from the monitor and are eventually read by the graphics card of the computer. Upon the synchronous inflow of data from the monitor, video data settings are then transferred from the graphics card through the cord to back to monitor so that the graphics could be displayed.
Going back to the previous scenario, one could easily detect a built in VGA output port especially from recently released computers. The other part of the equation would be being able to find the VGA input port from the television, which is not a problem as new televisions, like HDTVs have this necessary connection. Assuming that both the computer and television has these ports, then the only thing to be purchased is the super VGA cable.
Furthermore, if the television lacks a VGA input, the user could rely on the component video input port. This is used with a converter box which transforms video signals to VGA and gives the same quality video product. For much earlier versions of television, there is also an alternative that comes in the form of a composite S- video connection. It provides the capability of transforming VGA output into S- video or composite. Truly, there are a lot of options when it comes to understanding the dynamics of VGA connection but doing so will ensure more satisfaction in terms of video watching.
