Vacation Brochures

If you are planning a vacation, then you are most likely looking at multiple vacation brochures and deciding the best way to go about your trip. However, by now you probably know that there are many scam artists who are just waiting for you to take their bait. When they have a shady practice, you can usually tell by their vacation brochures. So the next time you plan a vacation, look for some of the telltale signs that show if your brochure is legitimate or not.

You will definitely want to look at brochures that deliver verifiable information that you can check the validity of their statements. If the brochure you have boasts unsubstantiated claims, or claims that are inconsistent with everything else you have read on the Internet, then chances are, something is fishy with the business.

Good vacation brochures will typically provide you with some of the same pieces of information. Like a checklist, look for these things in any of the vacation brochures you are sorting through. Make sure that your brochure gives you a summary of the setting with highlights of the places of interest.

Another thing that many good vacation brochures will offer is a map of their location. If they do not include a map, look out for a potential scam. Make sure to check with other maps to confirm their location and that their business does in actuality exist. Before you book your vacation with them and pay any money, look at their nearby cities and make sure they are listed.

Vacation brochures will often list the landmarks of their location, and other historic sites that might interest their visitors. If these locations are important to you, make sure they are listed, as the avoidance of stating them may mean they are farther away than you originally thought.

On the actual brochure, also check for any outdoor activities and recreational hobbies that are available for your pursuit. Most vacation brochures will mention any surrounding parks or waterfalls and places for sports. If these sorts of activities are not listed, then be wary. Along with these outdoor activities, they should also mention any places of interest like museums and theaters for your cultural entertainment.

You will also want to see if your vacation brochures mention the typical mode of transportation, as this could indicate just how far away the hotel or vacation spot is away from any other cities. Sometimes you can get better deals if you lodge further away, but make sure that you are okay with the transportation. If, however, the vacation brochures do not mention this detail, be sure to find out more information.

Lastly, you should also look at the pictures and graphics on any and all vacation brochures. This should be a huge red flag if your brochure does not include any pictures. Because these resorts and locations like to show off their features, pictures are the best way to do so. If your brochure does not include pictures, then you might be setting yourself up for disaster. Take a look at all these various elements of vacation brochures to make sure you are getting the best vacation possible.
