Every year when, as soon as February creeps around we all head out to the shops and look for the usual chocolate, wine, flowers and cuddly toys ready for Valentines Day. This year, why dont you buy something a little different and give your loved one a gift that they will appreciate and remember rather than a box of chocolates from the petrol station. The rest of the article is intended to give you some inspiration for the type of gifts that you could buy this year!

Experience Days - How about going out for an experience day together rather than just buying her a cuddly toy this year? There is a large variety of experience days available, ranging from wine tasting and romantic hot air balloon rides through to rally driving and sky diving! Regardless of which experience you decide to do with your loved one, one thing is certain, compared to a box of chocolates, cuddly teddy or bottle of wine, the experience day will be far more enjoyable.

Adult Toys - if you don't fancy going out on an experience day, why not spice up your bedroom life a bit by buying some new "toys" for the bedroom. Many couples use toys to make their love life a little bit more interesting. Adult outfits, body creams, handcuffs, love dolls and sex chairs are just some of the adult toys available to spice up your love life. You do not need to worry about the toys being delivered in packaging that will give the gift away. Most adult toy stores deliver your toys in plain, unbranded packaging to as to avoid embarrassment.

Chores - If your a bit strapped for cash this year, you can still show your loved one how much you love them. Especially in the current financial situation when lots of people are struggling with money, this option could be the perfect alternative to spending money on overpriced gifts that will either be gone within a couple of days or sit collecting dust on the shelf for the next year. You could say that you will help out around the house more for the next day or so, so that they can spend some time relaxing. Why not agree to do a set amount of chores, for example how about you do all the cooking for the next few days, or you will hoover the house for the next week so that they can rest. Obviously this only works if you do though! It is a waste of time saying that you will do the cooking for the next few days and then not doing any or going out for a takeaway.
