Vastu Design Tips? They Work Great In Bedrooms!

According to Vastu beliefs, a building must be constructed with all the five basic elements in play to gain benefits from the earth and bring good luck. This is in fact a design theme that has been gaining popularity in interior design. Below are some tips that let you incorporate vastu design in your own bedroom.

*The Southwest part of the house represents the Earth and is the ideal location of the master’s bedroom. This implies heaviness where the master should be.

*While sleeping, the head should be towards the south. Other directions are also alright except the north. Vastu believes that sleeping while facing the north causes nightmares and other sleep disturbances.

*The bed should be placed on the south or west walls or kept four feet away from the walls if not there. It should be made of wood in regular shapes for peace and prosperity as well. Any beams that go across the ceiling must be avoided.

*The bedroom door must be kept open at an angle of ninety degrees to allow good opportunities to come in. it should not be creaking as well.

*If a bathroom is present, it should not be placed directly facing your bed. Keep this door closed and your bathroom accessories in check.

*Electronic gadgets must be kept away from the bad to prevent electromagnetic waves from interfering with your sleep. This includes your desk clock or wall clock. The same thing can be said with a mirror since it reflects your stress which makes sleep difficult.

*Any clutter under your bed including pedestals should be removed. This only keeps you held back in the past and stops progress for the future.

*Aligning your sleeping position with sharp corners is not advisable. This only creates stress that affects your nervous system which prevents you from experiencing peace. Move your bed away from this or place a plant in that corner.

*For a peaceful married life, try placing a dressing table on the north or east walls. This should be facing the bed though.

*The southwest corner of a room is the ideal place for heavy pieces of furniture. Examples of these are wardrobes, sofas and a bathroom shelf.

*For color scheme, bedrooms should have pastel shades such as blue, green and off-white. The master’s bedroom must have an earthen paintjob such as browns or almond though. Dark and bright colors should be avoided.
