Vegan Nutrition Does Not Have To Be An Obstacle

Understanding vegan nutrition is the first step in leading a successful vegan lifestyle. The vegan food pyramid is a lot like the standard nutrition pyramid that is used by non-vegans, but instead of addressing the five basic food groups, it addresses alternatives that are healthful if you choose to eliminate animal products from your diet.

In my courses, books and on my website, I provide nutrition tips and teach my students how to understand nutrition for a vegan. It is so important to success in dropping pounds and living a healthy life.

Basically, if your eating plan includes six to eleven servings of grains, three or more servings of vegetables, two or more servings of fruit, six to eight servings of fortified soymilk or alternatives, two to three servings of beans or bean alternatives, and essential sources of Omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D, your eating plan will pass the nutrition test.

If you just eat these food groups without some creativity, I can almost assure you, you will get bored with eating vegan style. It is really a learning process and if you are committed to eating vegan, either for health means or to lose weight, you simply have to learn how to create delectable dishes.

When giving nutrition tips, I always emphasize the need for water and water-rich foods. They help your body to stay hydrated so that it can perform at its optimum. Six to twelve eight-ounce glasses of water should be included in your eating plan. On days when you eat a lot of water-rich fruit, the amount of water drank can be reduced. It can also be helpful to get at least an hour of physical activity each day.

A vegan diet is different, no doubt, but it can be fun to learn about it. I find it inspiring. When I first started cooking vegan, I faced some challenges but I was determined to make it work for us. In my journey, I have learned so many tips and techniques that make vegan cooking simpler.

Great recipes that adhere to vegan nutrition helped a lot and personally I don't think I could live without my Vitamix blender. It solved the dairy-free challenges for me, it unlocks the nutrition in seeds and grains, and it makes it easy to create fiber-filled juices. Better yet, it cleans itself! I'm sure you will love it too.
