View The Earh For A Magnificent Satellite View Experience

If you have ever tried looking at a satellite view using Google Earth or similar applications or web sites then you know just how awesome they look. I never forget looking at my own house as viewed by a satellite in orbit. It was dramatic. First you see our amazing planet earth, then i typed in my zip or post code and the planet turned to our country. Then it zoomed in further and further until we could see the roof of my house. you can even see the neighbours trampoline in the backyard, woods, restaurants, nature reserves and more. It was amazing stuff.

Something amazing about watching satellite views is that you get to see real photographs from anywhere on earth, Niagara Falls, The Coloseum, craters formed when dinosaurs roamed the land, you name it. You can then save and share that fantastic satellite view with your friends and add more personal data like your first house, or the local landmarks.

A great feature after you have found your image is that you can tilt and revolve the satellite image giving a birds eye on buildings, mountains and landmarks on the terrain. Many people have asked me if the pictures are in real time and if you run around outside your house will you see yourself? The answer is no, we would need a lot of satellites out in orbit if this could happen.

One possible problem you may have is that your computer may not be powerful enough to run the software and show the 3D graphics. But if your computer can run it you have many options to look at

You can also enjoy browsing the World Wide Web for satellite images of the world's natural views. There are plenty to see in the US alone. Yellowstone National Park, the huge gorge made by the Rio Grande, and the snow caps of Sierra Nevada are all incredible sights, you can even see birds eye images, which provide better images and angled perspectives.

This is a great feature of satellite sightseeing today is the ability to get into a street view of most major cities in the world. I'm talking of Google Maps street view feature, which allows you to visit virtually any city in the map and have a virtual visit around it. The pictures used in streetview mode have been taken from thousands of car mounted cameras throughout the world that take pictures every day to make the streetview mode as up to date as feasible. While your searching, you can find some fascinating candid scenes. Everything from a car wreck to a man who was coming out of an adult store.
