Violin Lessons – I Love Them #1 I can turn up to my violin lesson at a time to suit me - any day I like and at any hour. Sound good ? Even if I have to cancel at the last minute - due to a family crisis , a personal problem or the sports game running over time - I can instantly get my tutor to re-schedule : no grief, no extra cost, no problem whatsoever. Wonderful ! Violin Lessons – I Love Them #2 My lessons for violin are always conducted in a good mood . My tutor is never, I repeat, never in a grumpy or tired or distracted frame of mind . Even if I need to repeat my violin lessons 3,4,5 times my violin instruction is presented exactly in the same way as the very first time - calm, cool , and professional. Violin Lessons – I Love Them #3 You know that very, very slow person holding up the whole group ? Do you recognise the ‘genius’ making everyone feel inadequate ? I’m asking because I play violin with no such encumbrances ; I learn violin in a totally supportive environment at my own pace as if I’m the most important person to my teacher - these are MY violin coaching periods. Firstly , I can repeat the violin piece that has given me a cause for concern as often as I like . But, sometimes even more valuable , is the instant support of fellow students . You know there are times that someone on the same level ( or just a little higher ) can really empathise with the glitch ? Violin Lessons – I Love Them #5 I’ve got my own personal favourite style of playing the violin but it’s reassuring to know that my violin instruction is flexible enough to include jazz violin, classical violin, fiddle styles galore in fact. As well as how to play violin in varied genres my teacher supplies (at no extra cost) masses of violin pieces for me to have for my own, enjoy and play forever.
