Visiting Biloxi
To make sure you get the most out of your Biloxi vacation, here is a list of attractions that should not be missed: The Casinos- Biloxi is well known for its floating, riverboat casinos. The three story Imperial Palace reopened in 2005, and features eight restaurants, a poker room with 12 tables, over 60 table games, and more than 1,900 slot machines. Two of their better known restaurants are the Back Bay Buffet and the Carnival de Brasil. The pirate themed resort, Treasure Bay Casino, offers over 800 video poker and slot machines, and an assortment of table games. You can try your hand at Black Jack, Three Card Poker, Let It Ride, Roulette, Craps, Pai Gow Poker, and Deuces Wild Hold 'Em Fold 'Em. The Beau Rivage Resort caters to many tastes. Guests will find slot machines, table games, shopping, golfing, big name entertainment, a kid's game room, and charter boat fishing. Guest can also take advantage of the resort's spa and salon. With golf courses, deep sea fishing, beaches, and 24-hour gaming, the Isle of Capri Casino makes a great place to stay or visit. Table games include Black Jack, Mississippi Stud, Craps, Roulette, and Emperor's Challenge. The casino also offers over 1,300 slot machines. The Sites of Biloxi- Steeped in history, the city offers a variety of sightseeing opportunities for the family. Be sure to visit the Biloxi Lighthouse, located in the middle of a four-lane highway! Although the lighthouse suffered damage during Hurricane Katrina, fixes and renovations are now complete, and the lighthouse is once again open for visitors. The Mardi Gras Museum displays costumes and exhibits from Mardi Gras in a five room house. Originally built as a Coast Guard Station, the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum preserves the history of the local fishing industry. The museum is home to a vast number of historic machinery and photography. Beauvoir Plantation, once the home of Jefferson Davis, features the Davis Presidential Library, a historic Confederate cemetery, and a Confederate, Civil War Museum.
