The old maxim: “Faith is the belief in things not seen.” The fact is, humans place “faith” in all kinds of stupidity - symbolism, gnostiscism, mysticism, erectile-dysfunctionalism, you-name-it. When it’s all boiled down, faith is what keeps us moving, thinking, caring, and driven. We live and die by our faith. We choose what we believe, and, when what we believe is challenged, we make a conscious decision whether to act, react, or not act. It is really, very simple. The higher power we all sense, understand, misconstrue, or distort is all the same ethereal force from which we were all born - creativity. Religions of all brands and flavors would have us believe that their “doctrines” are the ultimate method by which we connect with the higher power. The dichotomy is such that the higher power drives us to religion, when in fact we seek our sources, regardless of religion. Doctrines and methodologies are simply those - doctrines and methodologies. True wisdom lies in our encumbrance of every doctrine and methodology, deriving what we know to be true from the hype surrounded by such. Our mission, should we choose to accept it, is to accept one another as we would want others to accept ourselves. Jesus Christ, among others, taught us this infallible philosophy and was killed for it - not because of its fallacy, but for its indifference to political and socio-economic strongholds within our social structures. Peace is attainable, but at the demise of economies, policies, and social structures. Thank you, Jesus, for teaching humans about the reality of God. May you be blessed, and may we bless you, in every endeavor, in every situation. Otherwise, we are hopelessly lost, amidst a sea of self-indulgent self-reliance. I pray you will bless every capable individual with the faith you understood completely, and taught with disregard. Amen.
