Wall Fountains – Buyers Guide (how To Choose The Right Fountain) Edition 2

Remember wall fountains can be added into the home or office environment, the principles still remain the same on how to use them to maximise the effects.

Fountain Placement

This is probably the single most important aspect of selecting your next wall fountain. The best thing to do is envisage what your want to achieve with the addition of your fountain; this should be undertaken before you start to explore what fountains are out there for you. Firstly, consider where you want to place the wall fountain, is the area you want to fill a large space or small space, for example if the wall fountain is for the hall way of your home then you are more likely to want to add a smaller wall fountain, contrastingly if the wall fountain is for your living room or dinning area then a large more prominent fountain may be considered. Personal taste plays an important part there is really no right or wrong place for a wall fountain to be placed.

If you are looking to add your wall fountain into the bedroom then a calming wall fountain will be the best choice, one that provides the relaxing influence of the water but does not dominate the room would be the best choice. Another area that can be important to many people is Feng Shui, this is the study and practice of challenging energy through the use of energy flow and harmony. Many people are firm believers in Feng Shui and the wall fountains have all the aspects that are important to this Asian practice. So how do they relate to the art of Feng Shui? There are a number of basic principles that apply and the wall fountains have many of them. Number one is the use of different elements metal, wood, wind, fire, earth and water. If you break these down it can easily be seen that all of the elements are connected in some way with wall fountains.

The wood and metal are often used in the construction of the wall fountains, these are common materials used to make the backdrops and the main design of the fountain. Water is used to run over the fountain in a constant stream, while the wind is the movement of the water which moves the air and enhances the well being of people who benefit whilst being in the room. Fire can be related to many of the wall fountains as often they can be used as night lights or have candle holders to enhance the ambience. The final element is earth; many of the wall fountains which are built today are crafted by environmentally friendly methods and make use of many natural components sourced from many different areas of the world.
