If you're like millions of Americans, you're having trouble sleeping or arent getting good, quality sleep. Theres many likely reasons as to why you may not be getting good sleep, and theres likely simple solutions. Many factors in our daily lives such as stress, impropier dieting, lack of exercise, all contribute to your sleep problems. Heres some pointers on resolving your problems and getting the best sleep of your life!

Stress - Allow yourself some time before bed each night to read, listen to your favorite music, draw, or do anything else that gets your mind off things and allows you to relax. All too often, you take to bed with you stress from home or from the workplace, which can cause your mind to race and you to toss and turn. Doing a relaxing activity you enjoy will help alleviate some of the stress and allow you to get some sleep.


Eating Habits - For starters, try skipping the coffee after dinner. Cut out the caffeine, or atleast stop drinking it once youve had your morning cup. The same rule applies to soda/soft drinks. Also, avoid candy bars or other sweets as a late night snack, and indulge in something with a bit more protein and less sugar. You would be amazed at what just cutting out soda/caffeine/sugars will do - and it will also help you lose some weight.

Exercise - This is extremely important. Not only for getting good sleep, but for overall well being, which of course plays a vital role in the quality of sleep you get. Take a short walk after dinner, walk to lunch from the office, anything helps. If you dont do anything to deplete your energy levels, you wont be getting refreshing sleep at night.
