Want The Key To Network Marketing Success? Rent This Movie Tonight

Every so often my kids pop in the DVD of the 2002 movie, “Drumline” starring Nick Cannon.
In this movie, Nick takes on the role of “Devon Miles”, a HIGHLY -talented drummer who got accepted into a top university on a fully-paid music scholarship. Devon played those drums better than guys who had played years longer than he. Despite his talent and skill, he had one thing against him...his inability to read music.

In one scene Devon is lectured by Dr. Lee, the Band Director, for having lied about being able to read music. Devon goes on about being the best drummer Dr. Lee has and that no (music) class can show him how to ‘do him’. They went back and forth a bit more and then Dr. Lee said, “…And if you don’t have the honor and discipline to learn your craft, then quite frankly Devon, you don’t deserve to be here.“ Now, when I watched that movie in the past, it was just a scene…but now, that line has taken on a whole new meaning.

So What Does A Line From A Movie Have To Do With Having Network Marketing Success?

Consider this…learning one’s craft can be applied to many things but here, we are applying it to Network Marketing. Sadly, many marketers fall into the same category as Devon where they will not take the time to learn marketing, which is their craft. They, instead, get caught up in the NETWORK side of Network Marketing...but tend to forget all about the other side...marketing.

And sadly, sometimes when you try to get some marketers to just slow down a bit from trying so hard to desperately go out and get that first sale or get that first enrollee and to just take the initiative to gain some knowledge of marketing, they either get displeased or... they come up with excuse after excuse as to how difficult it is or how they "can’t" or don’t have the time to study and learn.

So they end up sticking with what is being requested of them by their uplines and company and the end result is struggle, frustration, disappointment and eventually, giving up and quitting altogether.

Are YOU Willing To Learn Your Craft?

Are you going to invest in your education and learn PROPER marketing to ensure the success of your business or are you going to keep doing what you’ve been doing and receiving virtually no results?

I sure hope that the former describes you and if it does, wonderful! Just make sure that you’re not only learning, but also IMPLEMENTING what you’re learning! It would be futile for you to learn how to market, but never really DO anything with that knowledge.
