The Warlock is not the most commonly chosen of the Warcraft classes, due to it not being as good at combat fighting as the Warrior class or Paladin class. However do not be put off as this class is more than able to dish out harm when called upon.

When it comes to using logical thinking and magic spells instead of physical prowess to beat the competition, the Warlock is a master tactician. The Warlock has a real ace up its sleeve in its pet, which has an important part to play in the game.

You can role play as a Warlock by choosing from one of the following race characters: Humans, Gnomes, Undead, Blood Elves or Orcs.

Man's best friend, his pet, certainly has an important role to play as far as this class is concerned. The pet is responsible for not only making up for the Warlock's weakness at melee combat, by doing the fighting for him but is also responsible for sustaining much of the damage handed out by the opposition, leaving the Warlock free to cast spells from a safe distance.

Instead of power and strength the Warlock's main asset is its magical prowess. When involved in combat with other classes the Warlock should keep a safe distance and continue to spell cast from there. This will to a large extent prevent the chance of injury from occurring.

As a Warlock you will need to be on your toes during the early stages of the game as your only means of avoiding harm is cloth armor and novice spell casting skills.

A major benefit of the Warlock is the ability to use its health points to rejuvenate its falling Mana levels. The Warlock has great natural stamina because of this ability and is often able to wear opponents down. Having said this please remember to monitor Mana levels when casting spells as spells reduce the levels quickly.

There are some professions that fit in better than others if you want to make gold and level as fast as you can. As the role involves magic, spell casting and making potions it is logical to include some of the following: Alchemy, Enchanting and Herbalism. You should even consider mixing 2 of these professions.

As you level up the game and reach level thirty you will be handed the Felsteed Mount from your trainer, upon completion of the required training. Lucky you! The majority of classes have to pay for this mount, which increases your speed by up to 60%.
