Watch What You Say Today And Everyday

The year 2009 is upon us. Did the past year (2008) bring you all the success you had hoped? If not we must reflect. What things did we do right and what things did we do wrong. You must know which areas you need to strengthen and which areas need vast improvement.

One area that I constantly see where vast improvement could be made is in what is coming out of our mouths. The Bible tells us, “You shall have what you say.” If you are always saying you cannot do something generally you cannot do it. We must always be careful of the words we speak.

God spoke the heavens and earth into existence with words. He also made us in His image and likeness. And like Him with our words we create our world. The world you have created and are living in at this very moment is from the words you have been speaking your whole life.

Positive and constructive thoughts give rise to constructive and positive words. Positive words lead to positive actions, positive actions lead to positive habits, positive habits lead to a positive character, and a positive character leads to a positive destiny.

Limiting and self-defeating thoughts give rise to self-defeating and limiting words. Self-defeating words lead to self-defeating actions, self-defeating actions lead to self-defeating habits, and self-defeating habits lead to a self-defeating character, and a self-defeating character leads to a self-defeated destiny.

Words can create and they also can destroy. The words we speak each day are very important, not only for our well being, but also for those around us. Deliver benevolence and propitiousness into the atmosphere and that is what you will get back. Spew venom and vile into the atmosphere and you will get that back too. You can only get back what you put out. Make sure that the words you speak are positive and that edify. It will not only help you, but it will also help others.

Let me leave you with this last thought. Today, you set the course of your life, with your words.
