Big metro cities, communities and businesses can even apply to the FEMA Public Assistance programme and ask them to fund for the damages caused by the massive floods. Most the times these FEMA Public Assistance programmes purchase the properties that have become a victim of water damage, and demolish them. These properties are then utilized in building green spaces for the public.
