Water Heaters Are Better Treated By Professionals
Take, for example, a young couple that were renting out several properties. They were also in the process of building their own home from the ground. So, they were constantly thinking of ways to save money. Therefore, when one of the water heaters at a rental unit went out, they were extremely hesitant about calling in a professional to fix it. They decided to try to solve the problem themselves. "Honey, I think I can probably repair it," said the husband. "I'm pretty sure it can't be that hard. There are instructions and tutorials for just about everything online." "I think you're right dear," said the wife. "We've been doing well with our savings and I don't really want to waste our money on some plumber, if we can get it done ourselves." So, they both worked day and night researching about water heaters. They even went to the library to search for books on the subject. After a couple of days, the husband was finally ready to get to work. "Well, we're here to fix your water system," said the husband to the tenant. "Sorry about the wait." "It's no problem," said the tenant. "I kind of had fun staying by my sister's house for a few days." He went inside and started repairing the unit and was complete within a few hours. A few days later, the renter called. "Yes, could you come back over, the water is entirely too hot and it nearly scorched my niece when she came over to visit," she said. "The cold water won't even come on." "Oh, I'm so sorry," said the husband. "I'm going to do a little more research and I'll be right over." He ran over to his computer and did and this time did a quick search on repair instructions for water heaters. It took him about an hour to find something he deemed suitable. "Hi, I'm back again," he said to the tenant as she opened the door. "Good," she said in an irate manner. After about an hour he finally emerged. "I believe I found what the problem was," he said confidently. "So, you should be good to go." A few minutes after he got back home, the renter called again. "Yes, I just wanted to let you know that now the water won't turn hot at all," she said not attempting to hide her aggravation. "It's entirely too cold!" "Well, I'm pretty sure I did everything in the instructions," he said. "Did you leave the water on long enough." The lady let out a loud sigh. "Look, I'm trying to be as patient as possible," she said. "However, I'm getting a little fed up. Would it really hurt you to call a professional?"
