Ways To Drive Traffic To Your Site
I have spent endless hours trying to promote my sites through articles, link building, and other seo techniques. None of it has brought me traffic like the method I’m going to share with you. Since I figured this out, I’ve managed to increase my traffic by 1000%, and it has been targeted and quality traffic. So every morning I let my four dogs out, grab a cup of coffee and toast a bagel, then run upstairs and get on my computer. Some days I need to be out of the house at 9:00 AM to get somewhere, and some days I have nothing but time. Either way there are three things I do every morning after looking over my emails. First I go and post an article to five different article sites. This ensures that a steady stream of new one-way links to this website is being produced. As a marketer you can put up information on the internet that is very interesting to you and your customers and then bookmark the page and let others see if they find it interesting or not. If others do find this interesting then you can potentially get an avalanche of traffic to your site. The most important thing at this time is to have a good subject and some kind of technological bent to your article to make it interesting to all of us geeks out there. Since the bookmarks are stored online, they are not limited to a particular computer. Most Social bookmarking sites also have built in RSS features so users can share their bookmarks. As a web owner, this means you will receive some extra exposure if your pages are favored by Social bookmarkers. Each Social bookmarking site is run quite differently, but all are organized by the concept of tags. I use a program called RSS Content Builder to add RSS Feeds on all my sites. Every time the search engine bots pay a visit to one of my sites, they will see that the pages has been updated with new pertinent content. This keeps the search engine spiders coming back to reindex my pages over and over again. When someone links to your site in a blog or web site, the href HTML links are in the code. The Search Engines when they read the code with their bots (see how much web lingo you know already!) sees these links. Those get added to the amount of sites linking to you. They are "hot links" or "back links" into your blog or posts in your blog. Other social bookmarking services There are many more websites where you can submit a link and if users like it they can vote for it or tell their friends about it - those might or might not help your tutorial. Anyway, a big list of such sites can be found at Wikipedia in the article "List of social software" and since submitting is very simple it is well worth at least trying it.
