Web-based Meetings From Rhub Safer, More Cost-effective

Many businesses are cutting back on expenses such as traveling to remote locations for meetings that could take place through the Internet. A virtual meeting via the Internet saves money and time while allowing companies to stay connected workers all over the country without the hassle or cost of traveling to meet with them.

RHUB’s TurboMeeting appliance allows a supervisor or manager to hold web-based meetings without requiring each participant to install or download any type of software. A web-based meeting is designed for anyone with a browser and a browser can be Windows based, Windows mobile, iPhone, Macintosh, Linux or UNIX.

With other web-based meetings through the Internet, such as WebEx or Bomgar, there is a monthly fee associated with hosting the web-based meetings. With RHUB's TurboMeeting appliance, you own it (there is a one time purchase price) so there is no monthly fee to run it. You can run as many web-based meetings per month as your business dictates.

With Internet hosted Web meetings, the user ID and password is typically e-mailed to participants which can compromise security allowing just about anyone to access your web-based meeting. With the RHUB's TurboMeeting appliance, your meetings are more secure because the appliance is usually stored behind a firewall which controls outside access through the IP addresses. For instance, you could tell the TurboMeeting that the web-based meeting is an internal meeting only and therefore it will accept only those participants/attendees who come from behind the corporate firewall or from a public IP address you specify.
