Start up with a pedometer Most of us think they are up for a punishment when they are forced by circumstances to walk around, when unavoidable circumstances arise for instance and you've got no way out. Smile, because you are doing your body well. Exercising is good and very healthy. A 30 Minutes walk everyday is a minimum requirement to achieve a healthy weight and if you are already a victim, its one way to keep that weight off. It doesn't matter how you achieve it, whether you make 3 minutes walk 10 times a day it makes no difference. The muscles store fat to use as energy during exercise and take in more fat whenever these stores are depleted. If you do not exercise the fat get stored in adipose tissues and the weight piles on. This 30 minutes walk measure is on top of dairly activities. But I will not force it to you to take the walk, let me give you an alternative, the pedometer, a gadget that became a big sensation to a massive weight loss health promotion tool. Settle for a controllable diet. One thing leads to another, you start by panicking that you are overweight so you go for a crash dieting 'this is all about rapid weight loss'. The next thing that follows is subsequent weight gain. Weight cycling occurs partly because you loose more lean tissue with rapid weight loss, which is difficult to maintain, and partly because dieting sets up an unrealistic relationship with food that is forbidden. Eventually you crack and end up putting it all back again. The funny thing is that almost all dieters regain the weight they lose within two years and many end up heavier than before. Calories restricted diets will make you feel deprived and hungry. The main questions crops up, how do i put this weight off now? Hunger is actually bad. Hunger twinge increases the temptation to binge on sugary and other refined foods. Obesity is bad for your health. But as bad as it is it needs to be approached carefully. It is advisable that if you aspire to lose weight then you should do it slowly, and step by step. May be you need to seek medical help from your doctor or join a slimming club to help lose weight ideally like two pounds per week if you have a massive weight that needs attention. Taking it easy is what does the magic. The whole idea is about going for a diet and lifestyle that you can comfortably live with, rather than to attempt to lose weight periodically with regimes that are hard to maintain. Maintain a healthy weight by avoiding fatty meat, fried food and too many biscuits, cakes and pastries; choosing low-fat dairy products; drinking plenty of water; increasing your intake of fruit and vegetables to at least five portions a day; and eating plenty of wholegrain bread and cereals. A healthy, balanced diet along with a combination of low impact aerobic exercise like walking, swimming, jogging and dancing with resistance exercises like yoga, pilates, and weights that builds and tones muscle is the best way to feel fit and look good.
