What does the user of a face cream hope to achieve by using that creamy skin care product? What allows a product that has been tested by dermatologists to qualify for designation as the "best face cream"?
The effectiveness of a cream depends on the condition that it was meant to correct. A young woman with eczema has dry skin. She needs to put some sort of moisturizer on her face. In her mind the best face cream contains a moisturizing ingredient.
A teenager who worries about his or her next acne flare-up does not plan to use a skin care product that can add oil to an already oily face. A face cream that contains moisturizing oils has the potential to aggravate that teen's acne. It might even disfigure his or her facial skin.
