What Causes Acne To Form?
The presence of propionibacterium acnes on the skin typically attracts white blood cells to the follicle. These white blood cells produce an enzyme that damages the wall of the follicle thereby allowing contents of the follicle to enter the dermis. Once the contents of the follicle enter the dermis, an inflammatory reaction in the form of papules, pustule, and/or nodules occurs on the skin. This entire process is what forms acne. People who suffer from acne have several ways of dealing with the skin irritation. Most people who suffer from severe breakouts typically visit a dermatologist where they get permission for prescription drugs. Other people, usually those who are not suffering from severe acne, try using over the counter topical creams and treatments. Some people even try using at home herbal remedies, such as tea tree oil which has been proven very effective in fighting against this particular skin issue. There are many options when it comes down to treating breakouts, the first step is finding out what works best for your skin type. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com Lauren S.
