As I was cutting the grass, I had and epiphany. As with all epiphany, excluding the sudden appearance of Jehovah, it can be considered pure speculation. Although, I consider it divine inspiration. I was reflecting upon the Bible and it as the inspired word of Jehovah. Next, I wondered what rationale lay behind the desire to misrepresent the teachings of the Bible as is perpetrated by mainstream Christianity.
Acts 25:15 and I have hope toward God, which hope these men themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and unrighteous.
This, one of the most uplifting scriptures in the Gospel, came to me microseconds before the epiphany. I felt the usual sensation of happiness that comes when I think of this verse. Without warning a feeling of revulsion overcame me. Not at the scripture, but at the realization of why mainstream Christianity would want misrepresent the Bible in any manner.
This recognition stems from “there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” If the righteous and the unrighteous are going to be resurrected, and the righteous are those that know the word of Jehovah and the unrighteous are those that do not know the word of Jehovah it opens the door to the insidiousness I envisioned. Possibly, some leader or leaders of mainstream Christianity recognized the opportunity to be had if they would misrepresent the word of Jehovah to the masses then everyone would be unrighteous and therefore would be worthy of resurrection and not be thrown to Gehenna.
I have absolutely zero direct evidence that this is the truth. That is, I lacked the necessary evidence until I began to study the Bible for myself and concurrently examine the teachings of mainstream Christianity.
The Bible unequivocally states we should not worship idols.
Deuteronomy 4:25-26 In case you become father to sons and grandsons and you have resided a long time in the land do act ruinously and do make a carved image, a form of ANYTHING, and do commit evil in the eyes of Jehovah your God so as to offend him, I do take as witnesses against you today the heavens and the earth, that you will positively perish in a hurry from off the land to which you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of it. You will not lengthen your days on it, because you will positively be annihilated
1 Corinthians 10:14 Therefore my beloved ones flee from idolatry.
2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement does God’s temple have with idols? For we are a living temple of a living God; just as God said: “I shall reside among them, and I shall be their God, and they will be my people.
1 John 5:21 Little children, guard yourselves from idols.
At this time, a person need not even attend a mainstream Christian church and still be assailed by the idols of their worship. First and foremost among these is the cross or the horrid crucifix. These are both symbolic of the death of Jesus Christ. A gruesome, painful death. That death paid the ransom for our sin, in spite of this, it is the resurrection of Jesus we should focus our attention upon. The resurrection of Jesus exemplifies to mankind Jesus has defeated death, or sin. Remember the wages of sin is death. As a result, defeating death is defeating sin.
Nothing has been said here pertaining to the lies of mainstream Christian holidays, because they are dealt with on their pages. Nevertheless these lies support the theory stated here. Please, include these pages as part of your research.
Of course, I am but a man and a servant of Jehovah. Being fallible, I could be wrong. Again, I encourage you to research for yourself. Find the Truth for yourself.
