What If You Could Double Your Ebay Income In A Week?

I am going to reveal a insider technique that can skyrocket your ebay gains. This method is so cool. But, very few eBay marketers employ it, in spite of the fact that it takes very little work. So, what's the secretlittle known cash cow?

Backend Sales!

Allow me to show you an example of a strategy I employed. I observed there were a lot of eBay marketers that were dealing in large batches of greeting cards. Amazingly, when I first looked into it, there was a batch of 1,000 cards being sold, with just 2 days to go in the auction. Guess what the highest bid was?

One Dollar!

Can you believe it? The final bid ended up a bit higher, but not by much. When the auction closed, the high bidder ended up with 1,000 greeting cards for less than a penny per card.

There are numerous eBay marketers who habitually market batches of twenty-five greeting cards for $5.00 or more. What kind of a profit could you lock in if you purchased 1,000 cards for one dollar and then went back and sold them for $5.00 per set of twenty-five cards? Two hundred dollars, which is a twenty thousand percent return on your money! Pretty darn good.

By the way, there are deals comparable to that all the time on eBay. You can uncover many of them by doing some simple eBay market research.

But, this article is not about finding low priced products on eBay and reselling them for a good return. That will be a topic for a future article. So now, back to backend sales (no pun intended). :)

These large batches of greeting cards come up for auction on eBay frequently. So, I resolved to use them as a backend sale product. Here's the method I used.

I bought a huge batch of greeting cards for about two cents per card. I then put together an order form to sell the greeting cards twenty cents a piece (you can always raise the price later). Every time I sent something I sold on eBay, I simply tucked in a sample greeting card & envelope along with an order form.

When my customer (high bidder) got their purchase, they were surprised and happy to discover that I had included a free greeting card that they could use (nice little gift). In addition, they were able to see that they could purchase more top notch cards, for just twenty cents a piece, in lots of twenty-five. Since most cards usually sell for two to three dollars per card, that represented a savings of more than 90%. That's a pretty attractive offer.

The great thing about this method is that anyone who ever buys anything from me can become a lifetime customer. They might purchase cards from me for many years. My first "one-time" sale to my buyer can become a lifetime income stream, as they reorder greeting cards over and over again.

You can do the same thing. The only thing you need to accomplish is source a consumable product that people purchase, use up and purchase again. Buy the product on eBay for at a bargain price, or through a reliable wholesale source. Set up an order form that you can enclose sales. Then, sit back and watch the cash roll in. Very cool!

Don't forget, your backend products don't have to be greeting cards. That is just an instance of something I happened to notice. You might uncover other terrific consumable products that are a more relevant fit for the kind of products you usually sell on ebay. What you want is to uncover products that people will purchase over and over again.

To summarize, backend sales is just the act of selling more merchandise to buyers who recently bought something from you. The most favorable time to approach a prospective lifetime customer is when they are already pleased with a recent purchase and they are in the "buying mood."

Don't forget, the ideal backend product should be consumable. Once you secure a new customer, you will want to offer him another product that he will need to reorder from you each time he runs out of his supply. This will create lifetime buyers that can be the basis for a never ending income stream for you.
