What is the best way to learn French? That will vary depending on each person and their individual learning style, but I've learned two languages in my adulthood and I can highly recommend that you learn French by doing an online course.
So your first step would be to choose an Online Language Course
When learning the French language, you will need to start with a course to guide you through as you start learning the language. There are several good French courses online now and recently I've been sharing about the Rocket French course. Once you choose a course, be sure to follow it through from beginning to end and try not to advance to the next lesson until you can say all the words and sentences fluently. Many new learners of the French language get anxious and just want to learn as many words as possible as quickly as possible. Try and avoid this temptation, and master every word and sentence until they can come out of your mouth with fluency.
When you've learn a little, speak French as often as you can.
And with as many different people as you can. You will learn from hearing and understanding their different vocabulary, tonal inflections and accents. Some experts say that immersion is the best way to learn, however some people find that it's just not enough. For the best & quick results some people find that if they need to be fully immersed in the language as well as following the structure of an online French course.
If you're not in a French speaking country I know it can be almost impossible to find an environment that is French speaking, but here are a few suggestions of what you could do:
-Find (or start) a French study group and meet on a weekly or monthly basis to practice speaking French.
-Search online for others wanting to learn French online, and you can conduct webinars or video/phone conferences to practice speaking with each other.
-Join French speaking chat rooms or forums.
Your online French course should be able to assist you in finding more online resources or even provide their own chatting and group facilities.
