What Is Your Trading Style?
Trading style is a way how you trade and how long would you want to hold the position. Most of it categorized into three categories: intra day, medium and long term trading style. For an intra day trader, they only keep their position under one day. The buy and sell transaction or vice versa will finish in one day. As for a medium trader, they tend to hold it maximum one week. While the long term trader could hold a position more than one week and the extreme case, they would hold it more than a year (which is very rare). Only some people could do this, Warren Buffet is the perfect example for a stock trader that plays in long term trading style. Now which one is your trading stye? Every trader have their own level of comfortness. Try to trade in demo account. Ask this question to yourself. If you hold position longer than a week, are you comfort with it? Try different time frame and your trading hours. You will know which time frame you would love to trade. ADX indicator would help you determine which currency pair that are traded the most in certain times. Once you find out which one do you like, then improve your trading system to get a better result. For me, I'm a medium and long term trader. I don't like to sit in front of my terminal trade every hour and holding my pee. Find what suits you the best and stick with it if it's profitable.
